Project Outline
 

Nottingham Venues needed a cinematic showcase to elevate its three flagship destinations: The Orchard Hotel, the East Midlands Conference Centre (EMCC), and Jubilee Campus Conference Centre.

The aim was simple: attract national and international business visitors, event organisers, and associations to Nottingham by positioning these venues as premium choices for conferences, events, and overnight stays.

The deliverables included an epic hero showcase film and a suite of FPV-driven assets designed for maximum impact across web and social.

The Challenge
 

Corporate venue videos are often lifeless, sterile walkthroughs of empty rooms that fail to inspire. But for Nottingham Venues, competing in the business and events space meant standing out on a national level.

The challenge was to capture not just the facilities, but the experience: the energy of world-class conference facilities, the comfort of a premium hotel stay, and the atmosphere of venues built for connection.

Working with a business of this nature meant 5am shoot times, working around set-up events and producing content during operational hours. Easy!

The Solution
 

A production combining cutting-edge FPV drone choreography with traditional cinematography to create a seamless, customer-journey-led campaign.

Dynamic fly-throughs to carry viewers through Nottingham Venues’ expansive hospitality and conference facilities, then across the distinctive modern architecture. Outdoor aerials to set the scale, with dynamic FPV footage to immerse the viewers in the environment, with staff and team members featuring throughout to ensure authenticity and energy.

The project needed to deliver multiple professional assets: choreographed FPV showcase films for each venue, and exterior shorts that highlight the architecture

The result 
 

A versatile marketing toolkit, from website headers to targeted social campaigns which set Nottingham Venues apart from competitor venues.

The final films positioned Nottingham Venues as a leader in the UK conference and hospitality market. The individual ‘one take’ showcase videos gave Orchard Hotel, EMCC, and Jubilee powerful tools to market individually, while the combined cut ‘Hero Video’ unified the facilities under one bold brand story.

Not just a 'promo video', these films presented Nottingham Venues as a complete business and lifestyle experience - a place where events come alive, conferences have impact, and visitors leave with more than just a stay.
