Project Outline
Nottingham High School needed to create a film that went beyond the standard school promo.
Initially intended to promote an open day, the goal was to capture the essence of the school’s facilities and campuses in a way that captures attention.
Using high quality visuals, the goal was to create fast-paced, visually exciting assets that give a sense of the school’s energy, spaces, and personality: encouraging prospective families to book a visit and drive new enrolments.
The Challenge
The school already had existing long-form video content, but they needed social-first assets that matched the quick-scroll environment of Instagram and TikTok.
With no prior budget allocation for this project, the challenge was producing high-impact short-form assets that felt premium, while keeping costs realistic.
The Solution
Short, impactful films that would work across social media, open day presentations and the website
Cue snappy, visually rich assets: fast, fun, and structured to hook attention.
By filming modular clips of the campus, facilities, and student life, we ensured the content could be repurposed across different platforms and layered seamlessly into a hero video for paid social ads.
The production combined sweeping aerial drone shots of the campus with dynamic FPV movements, action on the sports fields and intimate indoor tours with students and faculty.
The final cut was optimised for social platforms and open day screenings, ensuring maximum reach and impact.
The result
The short-form videos became the school’s most engaging content, driving higher interaction rates on Instagram and helping to generate buzz ahead of open days.
The dynamic style conveyed the school’s atmosphere in seconds, making it easier for parents and students to picture themselves as part of the community.
Engagement across social channels rose sharply, and the videos quickly became key assets for attracting prospective families. Feedback from viewers highlighted that the film not only showcased the school’s facilities, but also communicated its ethos and spirit, making it a powerful driver for student recruitment.
